I would be a little scared to put the pundamilia sp blue bars with any of the other you have here. I have read that pundamilia sp blue bars are very aggressive.

I myself usually don't mix any Victorians together.
Its a young lake in relative terms, with the species closely related.
Due to the rarity of many vics, both in the hobby and the wild, and the ease with which they hybridize i have decided to do my best to prevent any hybridization of my Victorians.

If i want some diversity then i will put other types of cichlids in the tank(if they don't dominate the Vics).

I have a 60 with 5 male and 9 female red flanks and have know problems at all. All 5 males are colored up and they breed OK for me. One male controls 1/2 the tank and the other 4 are on the other side. The four have a picking order, but everyone knows their role.

Hi I keep victorian's comunity tanks for about more than 15 years without having problems with hybridization, the way it to have very dislike species in males and females dress and melanin pattern, also to have more than 4 females for one male and it works fine... All my fishes spawn with the good partner, hybridization is not more risky in vics than in malawi...
