OK, here is step 2 of the ID section.
They have been separated by Genus.

so now, before we start adding in pictures and put in a profile section, I need some help in making sure the names are correct/valid/current, and getting rid of redundant names etc.

So if you all could give it a look over, we can start streamlining it.
this list is about 70 species from the list submitted, so if later we can get 60 species examples with pictures, that will be pretty cool.
thanks.
TR6

PS.
I'm going to leave the original list up, that way people can see what members stock list is, people can PM each other for sales or swaps.

For uploading pix to profile section, it has a max size requirement.
1. Max size is 128k, please make it bigger then 50k.
If its bigger then 128k it won't upload for this section.
2. Max width is 1024, height is 768 pixels (1024 x 768).

3. PLEASE PUT SCIENTIFIC NAME IN BOTH IMAGE BOX AND PIC DESCRIPTION BOXES.
these are the 2 boxes right before you select "BROWSE" to upload from your computer.
If you don't name them in BOTH boxes, i won't know for sure what they are, so won't be able to place them.
Don't call them "my fish" or "Image 160", though that may be what they are called on your computer default.

If you don't have editing software to make it the needed size, please edit it at photobucket.com, then save edited copy to your computer and then submit to this site.

This is a wonderful project that you have undertaken! Myself, I can hardly wait!

Only thing to add is that the Haplochromis "purple yellow" is AKA as sp.83

It was a great idea wasn't it!
We are glad you are all here, and we are slowly getting it looking and working the way it should.

They are one in the same, I always knew them as the sp.83. The article above is from the "Guru of Victorians" himself!

My pleasure, just happens to be one of my favorite all time Vics. I'm hoping I get some soon, then of course, there's the holy grail fish the sp. Limax!

It will be good to see the list above edited as I have already installed the Genus Species Gallery.

Mostly looking to have pictures of colored up adult males, and their females for examples of each type.

You could upload your pictures in the section, and they may be selected.

More then 1 example will be selected when we have multiple submissions.
