I'll start it out,

Since the site went down for upgrading I have had one successful Mpibia Lutea grow out of 6 individuals, 1 successful grow out of 2 Matumbi Hunters, and now am growing out 2 Pundamilia pundamilia Senga points!!!!! It was 4 until a couple days ago when two mysteriously died. I am still very happy the Senga's bred for me though, and hope it is just the beginning of things to come for this species. So as of now 3 of the 5 species I got from the Euro shipment have spawned successfully. I thought it was 4 of 5 until ferns photos showed the Saa nane's were in fact Lutea's. The other species which has still not bred are the Lithochromis Xanthopteryx. They really seem to be slow growers, and sensitive to water quality. I have not lost any since the original loss of several after the move, but I am thinking these may be best off going elsewhere before I leave the country... yes I am still here, but not for long.

Well i have had more success with the pun. macro. since my initial spawns last year. I sent fry to big jim and dman. Right now i have 4 that were growing in the tank with out my knowledge about .75". I have about 35 more fry growing out and i think i have 3 more holding now.

the females seem to spawn around the same time with each other. so i have been letting them go a few extra days before i move or strip them. i think i was going in to soon before and disturbing the spawns. i think i will pull them tomorrow since i have not seen any shaking for 2 days. i hope they are all nice and fertilized. :D they are also deceiving when it comes to holding. you can tell they are but it is not the typical bulge you see. they hide it very well.

my neo. omni. makobe have been hanging in there. I took out some of the rocks and added 10 yellow labs to the 75g. The 5 left seem to be less skittish now and hopefully will start breeding again. I have about 25 fry growing out with the largest batch almost at 1". i will be keeping both batches to get a large colony going before i pass out the fry. i do see a lot of OB patterns emerging which i am hoping are mostly female. If i get any WB males i will try to start another group like marco did with a WB male and WB females. But that is for later down the road.

My pun. azuerea are all male, unless someone surprises me, so nothing there.

My kenya golds seem to be all female and i am waiting on a male from mr GAS in the hccc. Hopefully it warms up soon and he can send him off.

So i am 2 for 2 from germany. give me males and females and i will have them make babies. but i can not do anything with only one sex, LOL.

my other vics are going pretty well too. My flamebacks are still producing fry although they seem to be slowing down. The red flanks i received from dman have spawned once, female still holding, and hopefully i get some more. It looks like i have 2m/5f. but they seem to be pretty aggressive and the 55g is gonna be to small soon. not sure where i will put them after that. I have dayglows, sp44, and zebra olbq at some friends houses snice i dont have enough tanks. Oh yea i sold of my ruby green group as the line was getting pretty warn out. I was on my 4th gen from the same bloodline and they were starting to throw more culls. I could not find another good line so i sold off most. i got a few fry somewhere around in the fish room still.

on my list to get sometime this year....
chromogynos
pun. senga- oh wait they just came today!!! thanks bigjim!!!

My original group of Pundamilia nyererei Senga Point had 3 good spawns from one female. The others have spawn but will not hold past 2 days. The problem is the female that had the 3 good spawns will not hold any more. I have sent out a group of fry to s10jimmy and Dre. I kept a group to start a second group of Pundamilia nyererei Senga Point.
My Neochromis rufocaudalis -Saa Nane have spawned but I have not had any luck. I do have a female that has been holding for a week now. I think things are starting to change with the group now. You can't hardly tell when they are holding.
The Hap. blue obliquidens have spawned OK for me. I have had about 5 spawns from them. They only produce 4 to 6 fry each spawn. I have sent some fry to KevinB. I'm also growing some out to make the group larger. I should have some fry ready this spring.
the Labrochromis ishmaeli have not spawn. I have learn it takes time for ishmaeli to spawn. My Mbipia lutea -Makobe Island have not spawn ether. I'm moving them to a larger tank soon. My Pundamilia sp. "red flank" were all females. I sent most my females to Deadman and got 12 fry form him. They are growing out but have not spawned yet. My Haplochromis sp"red back scraper I think are all males. I'm working on getting some fry from Texas to go with some of my males. I might be sending a male down there to give them new bloodline.

I think that it folks.

I've had absolutely nothing spawn since the site went down.

A. alluaudi - had three spawns total. First went to Allen, second is doing very well at around 1.5" and showing great color. I'm losing almost all of spawn #3 one by one over the last month. Not sure what's going on but I only have a few left.

M. lutea - The first spawn didn't survive. Spawns #2 and #3 doing well at about a dozen each.

N. rufocauldalis - nothin'

L. ishmaeli - nothin'. But they're a bit over 2" long by now.

Kevin

Mine look like they are getting ready!
The M hunters were tail shaking this morning.
The M. lutea males were also shaking!
The fulus from ME were spawning.

2 ruby greens holding (Dre I have plenty of fry if you need new blood) about 90 fry in grow out

The red cherry shrimp have become very very prolific.
The cyto moorii.... hundreds for fry living in the planted sump... and they all made the swirly ride down there!
Copadichromis conophoros mchenga's quite a few spawns
My white top haras finally gave me 3 fry

I'm still beating my head on the discus tank.......I have a steril pair and the good pair wont spawn in the breeding tank, only the community tank.

Awesome fern !! Those Christmas Fulu are gonna breed like mad for you !!!

A little bitter sweet update, I've now lost 3 of the 4 P.P. Senga point fry, as a last ditch effort I put them into another tank, as the last two were spiraling around.. I thought I lost both yesterday, and even thought I already removed both, but to my surprise the one I forgot I had left in the strainer because he was barely breathing is swimming completely normally today !! It's just one, but I am always a sucker for a survivor. It also looks like I may have another Matumbi hunter holding.

oh i miss read, all BUT 3 tanks. lol. my bad. it makes more sense now.

oh and add PN senga point to my list of spawns. HA i just got those from bigjim on tues and bam they spawned already. Bigjim knows how to keep his fish nice and healthy. i just went in the fish room to turn out the lights and she was holding. i told jim earlier today that she looked real ripe and her vent was swollen. best part is she is only .75". thanks a lot man. and i got you down for dibs on the NO makobe.
