well i dont think the eggs made it in the tumbler. my eggs never seem to tumble well. any good tips for tumbling eggs?

they seem to fungus up when i have them gently rolling, but when i turn it up and they are rolling around they turn white and die. these are air driving tumblers, i think i may get or make some hatching jars that move water instead of air.

Well my WC velvet black has some free swimming fry. I tired to count them this morning but she started sucking them up when i got a flash light. There are a bunch though, i think maybe 50. The other female should be ready to spit in about 4-5 days i think.

100 fry??? that would be awesome!!!!

I have 2 Haplochromis sp. "blue obliquidens" holding now. I just had a Neochromis rufocaudalis Saa Nane spit about 30 fry. I had a Paralabidochromis sauvagei (Makobe) spit about 20 fry. I also have 2 Pundamilia sp. "red flank" holding.

Got my first female Astatoreochromis alluaudi holding, she's from the batch I got from Kevin back mid September. First hold so I'm keeping a real close eye on her, hopefully she goes full term.

Yipee... I have one of P. chromogynos holding and in the holding tank and wonder of wonder she hasn't spit the eggs yet (that has happened a couple of times to me or they have swallowed them). She seems to be holding on tight ... yeah.

And of course, I just set up that beautiful 75G for the X. sp. "kyoga flameback" and I have one of those holding too. I guess the male is loving the new digs already. I will have to think about pulling her as those guys are still babies themselves yet.

My N. rufocaudalis have been working hard on a spawn. I saw one of the males and one of the females in the pit a couple of days ago but still no sign that anyone is holding. I know they are getting close though.
