Hey guys,

These fry have got to go - I think they're big enough to travel and I need to make room. I'd really like to be able to ship them all out at once, so what say we try to agree to a delivery date and a carrier that suits everybody? I can send them as early as next week, I just need to know when you can be home to take delivery.

Thanks!

I can take them anytime. I believe most here used USPS as shipping cost run roughly $15 - $18 and arrive in 3 days.

I mean, if that's how you want me to send them, you got it. 8) Three days seems to me a very long time for little fish to survive in bags, though. :| I'm new, so set me straight.

The cost depends upon the weight and whether you use USPS Priority or USPS Express.

I think this is about right:
USPS Priority has no guaranteed delivery time. Generally some locations are estimated to be 2-day and others 3-day. On several occasions mine have taken 4 or 5 days. The cost is maybe $15 to $25 (Priority) shipping for fish unless you have a fairly heavily loaded box.

USPS Express has a 1-day or 2-day guaranteed delivery time dependent upon location. The cost is maybe $35 to $55 (Express) shipping for typical fish unless you have a fairly heavily loaded box.

Yesterday I shipped two small boxes (one to New York and one to Florida) and there was a next day guarantee. I also shipped two small boxes (one to Texas and one to California) and the guarantee was two days. All bozes cost between $37 and $42 for USPS Express.

CFHF08, TheCichlidKid15, I need to know how many of these guys you'd like and where I should ship them. I've got 25 available.
$7 + shipping, I'll use Priority or Express at your direction (though I'm personally more comfortable with Express).

Thanks!

I could've sat in front of the tank for a week and never got a picture nearly as good as yours of that male.

Thanks for the pics, Kevin! They're just fish (that is, they don't smile or wave or anything), but somehow it feels really good to see them in their new home.

Great Pics Kevin, how big is that male?? Here are some pics of the fry I also got from Ryan. Mine are still pretty small with the biggest roughly 3/4". Can't wait for mine to start coloring up.

Thanks for the fry Ryan.

You are most welcome, CF. Thanks for posting pictures, guys. These were my first fry and part of me goes, "Awwww" when I see them.

I'm a little concerned about the black spots on the dorsal side in Kevin's photo. They appear to be broken continuations of the barring - neither of the two males I've got showed those markings as juveniles. The red at the snout is maybe a little more pronounced than I remember, too. Everything else is spot on with dad. The bars fattened and squeezed out the color and the bright grey dorsal side darkened to a leaden near-black as he grew. I should get some new pics of him up..

Edit: This is garbage, but recent. I caught him right in the middle of punking the lesser male - they just hung there like that for 30 seconds or so. The females at left seemed to be watching intently.
