 Post subject: Fin Rot

I have a ruby green that has a fin rot on his tail. How can i treat this disease? Can u guy give me some advice how to treat him. here a pic of him.

Some salt should take care of it. A 1/4 cup of salt to 25 gallons, and raise the temp a couple degrees. If it don't get better you might have to use some meds.

Are you sure it's not your Mbipia Lutea male picking on him. It could be damage from nipping of the fins.

Big Jim he had that for like a week ago and i take him out and put in the five gallon to treat him. When I take him out that time I through my mbipia lutea in the tank. I use quick cure but I think it doesn't work. I'll try salt see if the fin could heal.
