I have been feeding my Vics nls sinking pellets and twice a week frozen brine shrimp and they seam to love both. Even though I've read that the Zebra Obliqs are carnivores, I sometime give them some good veggie flakes and they really like those to.

The nls they wont even let the pellets start sinking they love them :)

Don't get tr6 started on nls.

I can tell you there are better foods out there for your fish. They just get all the hype. Over the years I have used many different types of food. To me NLS is no better than the rest. I used NLS for a year and was not happy. I now use mostly Kens fish foods.

I've gotta agree with Big Jim about NLS being overrated. It is good quality, but there are many equals and IMO some better for much less. If you want to spend that kind of money, I would actually recommend Hikari Specialist sinking over the NLS. I only bought it because I ran out of food one day, and it was on sale. But it is less stinky, much less oily, and they love it. I will be buying from kens this week though, as I have heard good things, and the prices are good.

I currently feed my vics a mix of the Hikari Specialist, Hikari gold (Got tons on extreme sale), Spirulina soft sinking pellets, and occasional Algae Wafers, which are mostly spirulina. All my fish actually prefer the wafers over the pellets. I like the wafers for fry tanks especially, because not only do they gobble it up with ease, but it really builds good green algae in the tank quickly, which Is great for new fry to graze on.
