I do know, I asked. Dave got a batch from Old World when a shipment came in this past winter and I suspect an IgV or haplochromis.org member sent them to Laif... Those are the ORH he has posted, he bought all of them I think. There were other species from that shipment posted, but they sold quick. He also has Pyxichromis orthostoma Lake Nawampassa from haplochromis.org & Mbipia mbipi Mwanza Gulf 'Copper Black' as well.
The previous ORH were sent from a haplochromis.org member, to a Hill Country CC member who gave them to an other member who just spawned them.
There are a couple threads at Hill Country CC... I would post links but not sure it is appropriate.

for now can you please add Lipochromis sp. “Matumbi hunter” to my list Big Jim. I will know soon if I can add more.

Do any of our European friends have some aggression level for this fish as well as tank size? This fish was not on the original "euro list with pics" thread which included this info. Also if possible could we get this info for Lithochromis rubripinnis, and Haplochromis sp.”tipped blue” as these were also not on that list.

Thanks Jim, wow we almost have them all!

Someone was looking for predators. These are mostly predators. Lipochromis & Harpagochromis genus are fry eaters in the wild and some of the largest fish on the list. Lithochromis is an insectavoure and Yssichromis is one of the true schooling open water Victorians. In the U.S. you may see Haplochromis sp. "Blue tipped" listed as a Yssichromis sp. "Blue Tipped".

Hello ME,

the Lipochromis Matumbi Hunter is relatively small to the Lipochromis lineage. And has as well as Harpagochromis or other Lipochromis hardly aggression potential.
To maintain very well with a group of 10-12 fish and in a 240 litres tank.

P.S. I have pimped my homepage ... look www.welss.de at "Alles über Fische" :D

Marco

I forgot..

Harpagochromis is a crab eater and eats also young fish...
Lipochromis are fry and egg robbers.
Matumbi Hunter is a hunter who hunts after breeding females so long, untill they leave their eggs or fry...
Melanopterus is a robber; he put his lips over the mouth an pulls out the breed of the females...

Marco,
(Google Translate, I wonder if it is understandable  )

Marco,
"All about Fish". A very nice and clean design with soft subtle contrasting color. You need to fix a couple photo links; Prognathochromis spec. Torpedo Kribensis, Haplochromis thereuterion. It may be the host of your photos not connecting to the U.S.A. very well. I see you haven't added Pundamilia sp. Luanso photo yet either. You must be finishing it soon. :)
Congratulations for German Olympian Maria Riesch Ladies' Super Combined Gold Medal. The German Bob sled team also looks very fast. 8)

Lipochromis melanopterus robbs, like Marco told, eggs from breeding females. The breeding females of the own species found a way not to be robbt from others. Therefore they swim most of ther time with their heads near a rock or plants so that nobody can reach their moth or they swim near over the groud to prevent attacks from there.
L. melanopterus are very colorful fish when they are grown up. Their aggressivity is less than that of Pundamilia nyererei.
