I went to Canyonlands in Utah where some of the toughest 4x4 trails in the US are; Huge boulders, deep gullys, and steep pitch. Guess what? No Hummers. Plus the thing is so wide, it could never get through, say, the Black Forrest. I really think that a Hummer is a vanity vehicle.

BTW, if you get the chance, go there (Canyonlands). It's a fantastic desert wilderness with several uniqe biotopes and lots of bats, lizards and spiders. I counted 4 different species of bats flying around my lantern catching bugs at night.

Not counting what BigJim does to your MPG.

I still don't know how my car started hydro-plain in the rain that day. I'm sure I'm going to drop the mpg in the Tahoe.

LOL- Tr6 was laughing at us when I told him we had to slow down due to Hydro Plane. HAHA.

No problem. Just divert the fish to Columbus and I'll keep them in a tank labeled Dre_Day's fish.

wow thanks for the offer kevinb. well have to see when i get back. hopefully the tax return will be here and i can use some of that to stalk craiglist with.

ah the CL addiction i s a bad one too. so many tanks with no space.

i love telling them in an email: "i just want the tank, no stand or your old penguin filter that needs an impeller. ill give you 40 and can be there today!!"

then they reply with something like well, i have no use for the stand and it needs to stay together, and i am firm on 300$ for my 55g, PLAH!!!!!

yes, for every CL deal, there are those who want more than what they paid for.

HA!!! I wish my Tahoe gets 20 MPG. I have to watch how fast I take turns as I spin my tires in the rain. Wish they would make BFG TA's in my size as they seem to last longer.

As for CL, I have to agree. I can't believe what some of those people are asking for a used tank, or how they tell you that it is so many gallons and it is not even close. There are some heck a deals that I have come across though

Sounds great. You pay the bill, I keep the fish. It's a win (not really) win situation.

If a hummer flips you need a backhoe to right it... Not a good thing in my book. I like my slightly beat up dodge ram, its got balls and its pre dented
I've seen 20g tanks on CL for $200 before.... Its really bad in my area. But I have gotten several free small tanks when buying bigger ones so its no all bad.
I am sending happy thoughts to the fish that everything goes as planned!!!!

Congrats Dre!

I am happy to say I found a new LFS lately and traded my Oscar, Convicts and some fryeri, all be it at the vendors far too low trade value for some sand and a couple nice filters. I need those fish gone though. The cool think is he has a bunch of used stuff at very reasonable prices including some 15 and 20 gallon tanks for $15 a pop, not the bargain of the century but if I need them they are there and better than 10's for growing out some vics ;) Even his new tanks are surprisingly reasonable compared to the other local shops, the best deal being a 75 gallon for $130. Not that I would buy it since I like to pay 50 or less for the likes, but compared to $229 at petco it is very refreshing. Oh and also he has a surpisingly diverse sellection of cichlids ALL VERY HEALTHY, and on a final note put my beloved Oscar in with an Albino Oscar, and within minutes they were doing the love dance. Considering my Oscar has been mostly isolated from other oscars, and is about 11 inches now I was very happy to see it wasn't too late for him or her  It made my wife happy too ;)

Ther was a period last summer where a series of 6' tanks and stands were on CL for ~$300. One was a 150 bottom drilled with a wood stand and matching top for $250. I was layed up healing from a quadracep reattachment.
