Those guy's helped fill your box fast. I did not realizes how big they were. They were very shy and stayed in the back of the tank. They were much bigger than I thought.

Maybe 8 or 10 years ago these were for sale at my LFS and no one wanted them. I had no tank space for them at the time and I knew several people that were keeping them. Then poof...I never saw any for sale again.

None of these fish are junk fish.

At one time or another most of these were here in the states, but to never to be seen again. That is why we did this shipment to bring them back again. Now it is our job to teach people how special these fish are. Then we need to spreed them them around to ourselves and to other hobbies.

The most important thing is we have our second spawn of the shipment. :D

I'm sure Al is joking. Most LFS customers have no idea what they are looking at. Chilotes are pretty cool looking when they are in color.

I know the fish are large enough, I just think it will be spawning practice. The chicken analogy applies; not the one about crossing the road, though. Eggs and all that, ahh one basket before they hatch.

My Paralabidochromis chilotes -Ruti Island should be spawning any day, they are about 3 inch, the Piebald females are cool, and the dominant male is starting to color up. The piebald coloration and unique shape makes for a interesting fish.
Also not shown much aggression, they all hang out, the 2 females are more aggressive than the males.
i need to get some pix up this week.
