today i recieved some pictures from a new friend hoping to get a id on some fish he had just collected on the kenya side of the lake. the paralibidochromis are obvious but were checking on the other.

The top one is Rock Krib like, and maybe the second one is different. The third one has a different lips, lower jaw line& lower gill plate.
The lower two fish seem to be a deeper water species maybe. No horizontal stripes visible.That deep blue body is neat.

the fourth one looks like a macro to me. its body is a bit shorter and stocky. can get a real good look at the face shape but it seems to be shorter.

but it looks pretty close to me.

Hi
the third, fourth and fifth pic seem to be a Neochromis species, we have a similar fish in France that were caught in 2001 at the rocks of Mbita point.

Hi,

What areas from the kenyan side of lake victoria were these cichlids found?

I live in nairobi kenya, i was at the lake last weekend, hippo point and dunga.

We collected some fish but not any like the ones shown here.

I will highly appreciate any info.
