I am condensing my Africans to make some room. I am heading more into the american cichlids but I want to keep as many Africans as I can get to coexist in some of the larger tanks.
I have a 240g tank with 18 adult C. mooriis and one 2.5" runt (the lone ranger) 6 Fossorochromis rostratus are going to end up in this tank soon as well.
My main question is if I add some rock work can I put my hap ruby green colony in there too? They are all in the 3" range.

Ok.

Them and the Mpibia Lutea -Makobe Island- look entirely too close to mix to me.....?

I wouldn't think so, the morriis are very docile....
and any rock I would add would be all theirs, the only decor in that tank is a pot for a syno cat.

Not sure if this is a helpful comparison or not, but my Ruby's are currently in a community tank with Aulonocara "kandeense" and the males appear to share equal footing.
