YEah, i got mine a couple weeks ago.
Good book to add to your library.
My chilotes and my dead therueterion are not mentioned in it though, neither are my Flourescent Piebald Redfins.
VEry good pics and write up, good value for the price.

Between Mark Smiths book, and Ole Seehausen's book, this third book helps keep us Vic fan's happy.

Thanks for the support guys. We are already working on Vol 2 and there will also be another haplochromine one in the future and maybe those two species you mentioned will be featured.

Greg, Anton and I sat down over lunch last week and have material for about 5 volumes right now

Axel is there any way we can get your book here in the States? Can we also get it translated in English? I would love to get one.

Hi Jim,

first I thought you could get it via AMAZON, but it seems that this way is not possible.

Sorry but it is only in German language. May be my next step will be to translate it.
Within the next days I will send one book to Kevin B. Perhaps you should ask him about the book.

When I send it the costs are
26,90 € + 4,00 € for postage.

You also can order it by the publisher
Books on Demand
In de Tarpen 42
D-22848 Norderstedt
Germany

The title of the book:
"Die Viktoriasee-Cichliden in Deutschland"
ISBN 978-3-8391-3286-9

That is timely. I have been volunteering a bit with the Upper Congo Fishes Project. Doing some office work and EOL posts and updates. I made a few posts at ACA for IDs of some Tilapia. So far no Steatocranus, but they are looking mostly at mildly electric fish, catfish and ciprinds. There is a Flicker link with lots of pics.

I should finally meet Anton in a couple weeks at a get together in NJ.

I just got my book in today, Cichlids of Africa Volume 1: Haplochromines . I do have to say they did a great job with this book. There are a lot of pictures to compare too. They also have good articles for each species. I would have to give the book a A++++++.
