I thought this was more in conjunction with snails, not fish.

as part of their life cycle in a snail helps them enter the body. I believe in that stage it is easy for them to host in the gut of other animals.



My wife took a parasitology class and knows all about these worms and stuff. Thats one of my obstacles in me traveling into africa, she is convinced that i will catch one of these bad bugs. But i told her" hey thats why i married you, so you can take care of me when i come back from lake victoria with a fluke in my gut. you will know what to do and i will be ok." :D

i think metornidizol works well. the same as for fish but i believe we use the liquid form for use humans.



i talked to my wife last night and she said the this is one of her favorite parasites, right after trapanosomyisis(sp). the flukes in the snail stage give of little thing(forgot the name) which float around in the water, then when they come into contact with your skin they burrow into it. weird stuff man.
