it almost looks like a dayglow fulu but the orange is throwing me off...dayglow have more red ...ut it could also be the flash from the camers washing out the color

The fish is not mine but I have seen it. When looking at it "live" all that seems orange is actually red. I didn't see the point in altering the pic though. It's like lying :)

I realize this is a pretty old post but I'll take a shot on this one. It looks like it's a rather large fish, so I'm guessing it to be a Haplochromis sp. All Red Lake Nawampasa.

yes I think you are right. In my opinion it is a Mbipia lutea from Makobe Island. The back is orange - red and the breast is yellow-greenish. Also the vertical stripes have only a light grey color. The fish at the photo shows a neutral coloration.
And it is told that this fish is a little larger then usually other vics are.
