Hi
the anal fin of Pundamilia nyererei Makobe shows only blueish colors, the P.nyererei Ruti Island has red/ orange colors, sometimes with a little blue, in its anal fin.

Look at the anal fin. If there is red in it then you have not a P.nyererei Makobe

Anal fin looked yellow in both to my eye. Quick buggers.

I would both call them as P.ny, Ruti Island.

OK, I take that back.
Looking more closely at the fish in the second tank with the dark red back, he looks much older and his anal fin seems black and opaque/clear. The anal fin is not extended, so it is tough to see.
I withhold my opinion untill there is a pic of the old guy in the second tank getting fired up like the one in the first tank with all the females.
I am not the expert at Victorians, particularly the European strains. As many have noticed there are some slight color differences between the European lines, which are closer to wild, and the US lines that have been in captivity longer. In general, US lines tend more red, while the Europen's tend more yellow.
