It is possibly Labrochromis Ishmaeli.

It isnt the Allauadi, They are Solid gold with a Purple Anal fin.

As I look through my book There is also a fish called Paralabidochromis Paucidens, It comes in many color variations. it could possibly be that as well.

OR it is just a hybrid. it lookis Like a Aul. Baenschi

this is a haplochromis flavenentis. they were brought in by ole seehouseens collection a few years back. it is believed that they are a victorian species. only a few folks are lucky enough to have them in thier collection. i was able to get two viable spawns and nothing since then this is my dominant male.

This is the reason the world needs this forum!

I just hope that more come to help it grow, testing us to see if we know every species is cool but most of us have only kept a few species so far. There are so many species out there that many of us have never even heard of.

Deadman1 it is good to have you here, It seems you have extensive knowledge in the victorian area. I hope we can persuade you to stick around and help teach the world about these magnificent fish.

Here is a link to an article about these fish. This was not part of Ole's collection, this fish was collected in West Africa, I am not trying to be argumentative, but this site could become a go to site for Vics and the info should be accurate

The article starts on page 7

Article

Here is a pic I took of the fish we are discussing

We would like this to be the goto site for all Vic's. And if there is a correction to be made then it benefits us greatly to accept the correction!

Thank you for the article.

Sorry...It is a Haplochromis sp Flavententis. The Kenya Golds only get about 3" max...These guys are bigger. Also, notice the blue missing from the Kenya Gold.
