My Rufocaudilis Saa Nane could very well be Mpibia Lutea (yes I knew that from the get go)

Sooooo here is the dom male! Let me know what yall think.
Help from the euro guys would be greatly appreciated as these are offspring from the shipment.

They look by the head shape to be Mpibia Lutea. It took me awhile to get my Rufocaudilis separated from the Mpibia Lutea. The Rufocaudilis have a tropheous head shape to them. It looks as if all your fish have the Mpibia Lutea head shape to them.

Our German friends will have to help more with this.

Ya going on head shape I am leaning towards Mpibia Lutea too..... But since I have never had either fish and several of you guys have had both and watched them both grow, I figured yall could make that call better than I could!

Looks like another round of research may be in order..... What tank size do the Lutea want? It is a group of 5, 2 males so far.

Whatever they turn out to be I am still thrilled to have them!

hey Fern, I would say Mpibia Lutea also, the chubbiness threw me off for a second :P but the profile looks correct to me. The colors also look dead on in my opinion including the little pin stripe on the top of the pre-dorsal of the males, and in one of the pics I can see the speckling of the tail against the rock in the background. I would definitely still like to hear from others as well, but to me they look correct.

Wow, are you certain? I am getting ready to put one of my adult males back with the two females to see if I can get another spawn fern, if it goes well I have 9 fry I could let go, or maybe I could send you the two adult females, and just grow a fresh group for myself with the 9.

It is really really looking like I have all males. Can you get some pics of your females? That way I have a comparison?

I'll see what I can do, but I think Big Jim posted some pics of his females recently. The tank mine are in is pretty scratched up, so the pics won't be to great. I did post some decent pics of them awhile back though. The females do have translucent speckling of the tale just in case that is what is throwing you off. I saw it on mine early on and thought I had all males. females will be a more or less silver to tan color. I am pretty sure the females don't have the red line on the top of their pre-dorsal, but could be wrong.
