Hi all, first of all sorry for my bad english my native language is Croatian

I got couple Vistorians recently and I need identification. They are in cca 100G (400L) tank with Malawi Haps

Hi it seems to be Haplochromis callipterus aka Astatotilapia calliptera :)
It's a malawi fish and lives also in surroundings rivers

The Victorian females look so similar to each other that there is no way to get a positive ID from a picture.

Well, now that I got that disclaimer out of the way I will take a wild guess. Check out pictures of Haplochromis (Astatotilapia) aeneocolor females for fish #1. I'm guessing that species for one reason only and that is the rather large size of the fishes mouth. So there is a very small chance I could be right.

For some reason Haplochromis tweddlei springs to mind, does the male go a golden yellow colour ???
where did you find them - local shop ?
