I was going to say no just by the color. I really got a good look at my sub laminate males, and the colors are close. The head shape is close so I can not say no it's not.

Ross (Deadman) traded them to me so I have to believe that they are redback scrapers but wanted to be absolutely sure. I think that the color really got bright in the last two pictures because I used an external flash on them and it may have increased the brightness.

If they are not the dominate fish in the tank they will not get their full color. I saw there were other fish in the tank with him, this is why I went to compare him with my sub dominate ones.

Mattrox the fish on yur pic looks alot like M.lutea, all the facial mask is similar, the body color and fins color are similar but also the general morphology(lutea being a lttle more massive in head surface) having a more robust appearance. So I :) think this could be a M.lutea
