Can I do a breeding group of Placidochromis milomo along with a breeding group of Dimidiochromis compressiceps in a 240g+ tank without the worry of hybridization?

Doubt very much that these 2 species would hybridise, I'd be more concerned about mixing a large predatory hap in with another species as would think they could end up as lunch.

Ive seen a Dimidochromis x Venustas, Dimidochromis x Aulonocara, Dimidochromis x Sciaenochromis, Dimidochromis x Psuedotropheus.

I'd not put the above crossing out of the question, though not super likely if each has their own mates in the tank.

I don't think you're likely to have problems there so long as you have a good male to female ratio of each group. The D. compressiceps are some pretty aggressive fish, the VC 10 not as much.

Old post...... The tank has 19 cyto moorii in it now. 6 fossochrimis rostratus are headed in there as well once they grow a little more.
