I love Pelvicachromis pulcher!
Heck we VIC lovers got Kribs too, though from a different part of Africa.

The thing is for most people the water conditions for P. pulcher are closer to what people are used to for South American cichlids, instead of other African's.

Thats why you mostly see Africans such as Buttikoferi, jewels, and Cichlids from Madagascar kept with New Worlds instead of Old Worlds.

So since the water requirements are not the same as East African Lake Cichlids, you don't often see West African's on other "African" sites.

They are cool fish, and very fun watching with fry.

Yup. I have these guys in a species-only tank with a couple of tetras as some dithers.
Far different behavoir than their cousins to the east!
