Just wanted to say a quick "top of the mornin to ya!" and introduce myself a bit. I am new to the site and looking to interact with any other fellow Igloo owners up here in the deep dark North! Also hoping to find some new types of bacon or recepies for some Great Canadian Bacon :P

Ha ha in all honesty, I do want to say hi! I am currently one of two known Victorian Cichlid owners in any amount in Atlantic Canada and the only one that actually breeds this great fish!

I've been in the hobby for about 4 years and have actually always had Victorians.

Currently I have one main show tank that is a 108, I have a 130 that is currently not running, 3- 38 Gallon Fry Gow Out tanks, 2- 50 Gal Juvi tanks, 3-33 gallon holding tanks, and about 8- 5 to 15 gal fry tanks. All of which have approximately 400 Victorians, 30 of which are F2, 35 which are domestic, and about 35 that are all F1s.

I also keep a 50 gallon Community tank, a 31 Salt Water Setup, and a soon to be 38 Hexagon Salt Water Setup.

My main reasons as to why I chose Victorians were because they are a very rare species of keep in the hobby, many of these gorgeous species and breeds of Victorians are becoming more and more endangered, and as far as Fresh Water fish are concerned, you would have a hard time to find a more gorgeous marked or colorful type of fish!

I can't wait to learn from all of you, exchange ideas, tips, and even maybe bump heads in a friendly manner from time to time

My biggest reason I decided to join this forum was in hopes of meeting and locating some fellow Victorian keepers. Its never easy to keep let alone breed a species of fish when you don't have the ratios, or the ability to simply get your hands on more. Would love to find someone in Central Canada that keeps Victorians.
