Hi all,
Nice to see theres a forum for Victorians,
Ive been keeping fish and breeding fish for many years now, and im into the rare species. Like Goodeids, Wild Peocilids, Tanganyikans, killifish and a lot of species of crayfish, but ive only recently got into Victorians from a visit to my brother's out in KY when i found 3(?) different species, all three in one store and i think some that were the same as the one of the ones in the other store and decided to get some of each species since i never see them around here. Like most fish they were all mislabeled but i fiugured out that they were Haplochromis sp. "Thick Skins", Xystichromis sp. "Kyoga Flameback"(?), and Astatotilapia latifasciata after a bit of work, and am now interested in finding a few of the other species like Pyxichromis, and some of the harder to find species.
Im also interested in a lot fo the breeding programs with endangered species (the thing that drew me to Vics. in the first place), ive been working with Goodeids and some of the other livebearers but i thought i should work on some of these amazing fish while im at it.
And im interested in learning some of the breeding tecniques people use for these fish since theres no helpful info on any of the search sites.
