My name is Peter George, and I am very interested in expanding my knowledge of non-Malawi haplochromines and Victorians. I am president of The New England Cichlid Association, and within our group we have quite a few serious Victorian hobbyists. I currently am keeping:
Astatoreochromis straeleni (F0), adults and fry
Astatotilapia brownae 'Munyonyo' (F1)
Astatotilapia burtoni (F0)
Astatotilapia desfontainii - Male only
Astatotilapia latifasciata
Astatotilapia tweddlei (F3)
Haplochromis sp. 'all red' Lake Edward
Harpagachromis sp. 'golden duck'
Harpagachromis sp. 'orange rock hunter'
Mbipia cf. lutea 'crossbar Yala Swamp'
Mbipia mbipi
Neochromis greenwoodi (F2 and F4)
Neochromis omnicaeruleus
Paralabidichromis sp. 'red fin piebald'
Pundamilia (Haplochromis) sp. 'Uganda fire' - This fish is an undesirable species which Paul Loiselle believes is a Pundamilia. It is NOT the fish that is generally known as Paralabidichromis sp. 'fire'
Pundamilia igneopinnis
Pundamilia macrocephala
Pundamilia nyererei 'Makobe Island'
Pundamilia nyererei 'Ruti Island'
Pundamilia sp. 'crimson tide'
Pundamilia sp. 'red flank'
Thoracochromis callichromis
Thoracochromis brauschi
Thoracochromis sp. 'Lake Albert'
Thoracochromis sp. 'flavenentis'
Yssichromis sp. 'blue tipped'
Haplochromis sp. 'unknown' - obtained as Haplochromis sp. 'Victoria Nile' but it is not that species. At this point, nobody can identify it, and it is almost certainly not a hybrid
Alcolapia alcalicus

I am always interested in trading, buying and selling, so let me know what you've got, what you want, and what you might be interested in obtaining.

And I'm always looking for more. I'm a very greedy Victorian type of guy. I've contacte Big Jim to see if he's got some species that are generally unavailable in the U.S. And obviously I'd like to promote a more vigorous discussion of who has what, and who is breeding what, etc. Thanks for re-invigorating the site, by the way.

Hi Peter, I have Enterochromis paropius fry that I would be willing to trade for Thoracochromis brauschi. I've been looking for these guys for a while now. I don't have a lot of Victoria basin cichlids but i think these are beautiful fish that deserve to be more common in the hobby. If you are not interested in the Enterochromis paropius I would still be interested in buying some fry off you if that is an option. I do in fact live all the way across the country from you though. I was also considering getting a colony of 'flavenentis' from davesfish.com.
