hey guys is there any plants i can put in with Victorian's, i have tried in the past but they eat the plant every time...please no plastic plants!!!!! lol!!!! :D

well there are a few that 'might' work. anubias and java are pretty sturdy. the fish are just to boisterous. they flash on plants and swim threw them chasing each other.

it helps a lot if you set up the tank with plants first and let them grow for 2 months or so. that way they get a good root system going and are hard to pull up. then surround the base with some small pebbles to help prevent digging.

i know a guy who keeps java fern and something else in almost all of his tank. he keeps mostly westies and CA cichlids. they seem to be fine and not bother the plants. he also keeps species only tanks.
